Your professor has likely created an assignment activity for you to use. They will have an icon that looks like a hand holding a piece of paper as shown below.



Once you click the assignment you will be given the option to add a submission.

After clicking Add submission you will have a maximum of two options. Depending on how your professor would like for you to submit your assignment you could see either the "Online Text" section, the "File Submissions" section, or both. The "Online Text" section looks like the example below. Just type your essay or copy and paste it from the word processing program you typed your draft in and you are ready to go.


 

The "File Submissions" section looks like the example below. With this section you can click the "Add+" button in the top left to search for a file on your computer to upload or you drag a file from your computer directly to the section with a dotted line border to upload your file. 

Once you have selected your choosen method to submit your assignment and have either type your answer or uploaded a file make sure you click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page or you will lose your progress.
